Restaurant 360 is a gorgeous restaurant surrounded by beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and the old town of Dubrovnik. Its front doors are hidden amongst the ancient walls that open into a gorgeous fine dining restaurant.
The unique combination of ancient medieval walls and modern fine dining makes this a hot spot in Dubrovnik! The views are breathtaking, the sound of church bells every so often, with pinky sunset skies. It’s such a magical place. Photos simply don’t do it justice.
There are two 5-course tasting menus:
- Antologija – which is hand-crafted by the chef himself, Marijo.
- Republika – which I believe is a modern take on Dubrovnik heritage dishes
There is also an a la carte menu with some of the dishes from the tasting menu for you to try.
We opted for the Antologija tasting menu because, I mean, we couldn’t pass up the chance to taste the chef’s hand-crafted menu. It sounded incredible, and it was a chance to really experience his art in food.
We began the meal with a variety of bread and different kinds of butter, which was incredible and
We also had an amuse bouche, which was a mini raw beef taco, a savoury profiterol and some anchovy puff pastry, which I can’t remember what it was, but it tasted amazing; I’d never had anchovy before but it was delicious.
The rest of the menu consisted of:
SCALLOPS
- Pan-seared / Marinated / Kohrlabi / Onion soup
MACKEREL
- White turnip / Potato and miso mayo / Bonito dressing
SEA BASS
- Fennel foam / Leek powder / Beurre blanc
PIGEON
- Pigeon / Jerusalem artichoke / Confit shallots / Capers sauce
TIRAMISU
- Crunchy biscuit / Coffee syrup / Caramel / Vanilla / Bailey’s ice cream
I used to be such a fussy eater; now, I’m not so picky, but there are certain foods I can’t bring myself to eat. However, the first time I visited a Michelin Star restaurant in Bath (you can find the post here), I almost convinced myself not to try any of the seafood dishes. Michelin-star restaurants are an experience, and they don’t come around often, so I tried all of them and loved every👏🏻single👏🏻plate!
They have a Michelin star because they are masters at their craft. They know how to balance flavours to perfection. It all compliments the dish, and not one compartment is overpowering. It’s honestly magic.
After learning from the restaurant in Bath, I now like to put my utmost trust in these chefs. I get so excited to try new things. The seafood was DELICIOUS, and oh my god, I tried pidgeon?! It was so tasty and rich. I expected it to be like chicken, but it was more like a rich duck or venison. It wasn’t what I expected at all. Even if you’re a fussy eater who doesn’t like fish, turnips, or various ingredients on the menu, nothing tastes like what you think it will. I can’t explain it, but if you can try a Michelin star taster menu, I urge you to do it! You won’t regret it. It is a little pricey, but it’s a whole experience.
The staff were excellent, so attentive and polite, which made it one of my favourite restaurant experiences.
